This bronze sculpture was created to help in the fight against cancer.  For the patients and their families it is to provide a source of comfort, hope and motivation.  The sculpture represents two of the conflicting emotions shared by almost all who are diagnosed with cancer: The open hand reflecting the universal question, “Why me?”, and the fist depicting the intense desire to fight and to triumph over this disease.

For the cancer treatment and care centers it can serve as both a symbol of their dedication to treating all forms of this disease.

As a fundraising tool for cancer centers and affiliated foundations or organizations, the bronze provides physical recognition of donors and their contributors.
